How can I test firewall rules with Port Listener?

Start Port Listener on the port you want to test, then attempt a connection from another machine (using telnet, a browser, PowerShell, or any TCP client).

  • If the connection appears in Port Listener, inbound traffic is reaching your system and the firewall is allowing it through.
  • If nothing appears, the firewall or network configuration is blocking the traffic.

This is a quick, reliable way to verify that specific ports are open and reachable.
