A Utility Screensaver That Works for You
How long has your computer been running? Whether you are a system administrator tracking server uptime, an IT professional monitoring workstation stability, or simply someone curious about how long your current Windows session has been active, UpTime Screen Saver gives you the answer every time your screensaver kicks in.
Unlike generic screensavers that show meaningless patterns, UpTime Screen Saver is a utility that provides real information. It displays your current Windows session duration in either short or long time format, with optional millisecond precision for exact tracking. The display is completely customizable -- choose any background color, text color, font type, and font size to match your style or your organization's branding.
You can display the uptime as a smooth scrolling marquee that glides across the screen, or switch to bounce mode where the text moves around in all directions, left-right only, or up-down only. Control the speed and movement pattern to get exactly the look you want. UpTime Screen Saver is an essential tool for users who demand more from their machines -- and it works on both desktop and server editions of Windows.
Who Is This For?
- System administrators -- Monitor server uptime at a glance. Walk past any server room display and instantly see how long each machine has been running.
- IT departments -- Deploy across workstations to track system stability. Quickly identify machines that may need reboots or maintenance.
- Power users -- Keep track of your session duration for personal productivity or simply out of curiosity. Know exactly how long your system has been up and running.
Key Features
Time Formats
Display uptime in short or long format, with optional millisecond precision. Short format shows compact time (e.g., "5d 3h 12m"), while long format spells it out (e.g., "5 days, 3 hours, 12 minutes"). Zero values are automatically hidden for cleaner output.
Font and Color Customization
Choose any background color, text color, font type, and font size. Total visual control over the display -- match your company colors, use a high-contrast theme for visibility, or go with whatever looks best.
Scrolling Marquee
Display the uptime as a smooth scrolling marquee that glides across your screen. A clean, professional look for server rooms and office environments.
Bounce Mode
Make the uptime text bounce around the screen -- full bounce in all directions, left-right only, or up-down only. Adds visual interest while still delivering useful information.
Speed Control
Adjust the speed of scrolling or bouncing animation to your preference. Slow it down for easy reading or speed it up for a dynamic display.
Movement Configuration
Customize the movement pattern -- horizontal, vertical, or combined. Fine-tune exactly how the uptime text moves across your screen.
