Question  Can I add Menu to my autorun with AutoRun Wizard?

Creating is menu in AutoRun Wizard is simple using HTML, however we do not provide a user interface to create one. There are many autorun cd products on the market that go into great depths to create beautiful autorun menu's, we do not think it is necessary. You can create a professional, clean menu system using standard HTML and auto launch that html file. It is that simple.

Let's say, for example, you wanted to create a menu that contained links to different items on the cd. In our example we will use an HTML page that has information about our Company.

About Us - Brought you to the company information html page
Services - Brought you to the services html page
Products - Brought you to the products html page
Contact - Brought you to the contact information html page
Exit - Does a JavaScript close on the browser (onClick='window.opener=self;window.close()')

You could simply create a standard (JavaScript or dhtml or whatever) HTML page for your menu. See our example html screenshot below:

AutoRun html main

This shows what the contents of our HTML menu would look like. The possibilities are endless with HTML. We feel that giving you the flexibility to use HTML does not limit the features you can add to your autorun menu. Features such as JavaScript, DHTML, CSS and more!

Below is the example HTML page of the About Us html file.

AutoRun html about

In our example, the Back link at the bottom right takes you to the main menu.

You are probably thinking that the HTML page would look very weird opening in the default browser and showing the forward-back-home html and menu buttons from the Internet Browse, right? Well, guess again. With AutoRun Wizard we allow you to force the browser to be Internet Explorer! When you run Internet Explorer in KIOSK mode, the Internet Explorer title bar, menus, toolbars, and status bar are not displayed and Internet Explorer runs in Full Screen mode. The Windows Taskbar is not displayed, but users can switch to other running programs by pressing ALT+TAB or CTRL+ALT+DEL. Because Internet Explorer is running in Full Screen mode, you cannot access the Windows Desktop until you quit Internet Explorer KIOSK mode by pressing ALT-F4 or include an Exit or Close JavaScript button in your HTML that will close the browser.

Below is the example of what the settings would look like within AutoRun Wizard to launch your cd autorun HTML menu in KIOSK mode.

AutoRun html properties

As you can see with AutoRun Wizard you can create an extensible cd autorun menu system using simple (or complex) HTML, depending on our skill level with HTML. AutoRun Wizard gives you control over all aspects of your cd menu creation, unlike other autorun programs which force you to use their clunky hard to use interface to create your menu. Creating this type of menu will make your autorun look professional and powerful.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest AutoRun Wizard for the most up to date features.
