Windows quietly records your activity in many places throughout the operating system. RJL System Cleaner can clean the following privacy traces:
- Recently opened files -- The list Windows keeps of files you have recently opened, visible in File Explorer's Quick Access.
- Run dialog history -- Commands you have typed in the Run dialog (Win+R).
- Windows search history -- Terms you have searched for using the Windows search bar.
- Open/Save dialog history -- Folders and files you have recently accessed through Open and Save As dialogs in any application.
- Recent documents -- The list of recent documents accessible from the Start menu.
- Jump lists -- The recent file lists that appear when you right-click apps on the taskbar.
- Mapped network drives history -- Network paths you have previously connected to.
All privacy cleaners are off by default. You enable them only if you specifically want to erase your usage history. This is useful on shared computers, work machines, or any situation where you do not want others to see what files you have been working with.
