Windows SmartScreen is warning me about RJL System Cleaner.

If you see a message that says "Windows protected your PC -- Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting," this is a false positive. It does not mean the software is dangerous.

SmartScreen displays this warning for any new software that has not yet built up a download reputation with Microsoft. It is based on how many people have downloaded the file, not on any detected threat. Brand new software always triggers this warning until enough users have downloaded it.

To proceed:

1. Click "More info" on the SmartScreen dialog
2. Click "Run anyway"

RJL System Cleaner is digitally signed by RJL Software, Inc. You can verify this by right-clicking the .exe, selecting Properties, and checking the Digital Signatures tab. If you see "RJL Software" as the signer, the file is authentic and has not been tampered with.

You can verify the download integrity by comparing the SHA256 hash shown on the download page with the hash of your downloaded file.
