Yes -- completely. The duplicate file scanner is fully functional in the free version. You can:
- See the total number of duplicate files and wasted space
- See the largest duplicate groups
- Browse every duplicate group with all file paths and sizes
- See which file is the "original" (oldest) and which are "duplicates"
- Understand exactly where the wasted space is
The only thing the free version cannot do is remove the duplicates. Clicking "Remove Duplicates" requires registration ($19.99 one-time).
If you prefer, you can use the information from the scan to manually delete duplicate files yourself using Windows Explorer. The scanner shows you every file path -- you can navigate to them and delete them by hand. Registration simply automates this process safely with logging, Recycle Bin support, and secure shredding options.
