What makes Dirty Mouse such a good prank?

Dirty Mouse is brilliant because it exploits a problem everyone has experienced -- a mouse that stops responding. The victim's immediate reaction is to blame the hardware. They will flip the mouse over, blow on the sensor, check the cable, try a different USB port, and maybe even go looking for a replacement mouse. Meanwhile, the prank keeps going every 20 seconds like clockwork.
