Does Floppy Madness write anything to the floppy disk?

No. Floppy Madness only reads the floppy drive -- it does not write any data to the disk. If there is a floppy disk in the drive, its contents will not be modified. If there is no disk in the drive, the drive motor will spin and make noise but nothing else happens.
