Do the droppings disappear on their own?

Individual droppings will disappear if a window is moved over them or if the screen is refreshed. However, Mouse Droppings keeps creating new droppings every few seconds, so the mess keeps coming back. The only permanent solution is to exit the program by moving the mouse to the top-left corner of the screen.
