What is Clippy?

Clippy is a free, harmless prank program from RJL Software that brings back the infamous Microsoft Clippy office assistant. Once launched, it hides for one minute and then pops up in the lower-right corner of the screen with unhelpful, ridiculous messages about the victim's computer. It keeps reappearing at regular intervals with no visible way to close it.
